Ready Position:
In the ready position, your weight should be evenly distributed between both feet. This balanced stance allows you to react quickly to the incoming ball and maintain agility on the court.
Weight Transfer:
As you prepare to hit the forehand, initiate the weight transfer by shifting your weight from your back foot to your front foot. During this phase, your balance gradually shifts forward, with more weight now on your front foot while maintaining a stable base on your back foot.
Pivot:
As you pivot on your back foot to open up your stance, your weight distribution should still favor your front foot. However, you should maintain a slight amount of weight on your back foot to ensure stability and control throughout the stroke.
Swing and Follow Through:
During the swing and follow-through, your weight continues to shift forward, with the majority of your weight now on your front foot. This forward momentum helps you drive through the ball with power while maintaining balance and control over your shot.
